The cost of treatment depends on the treatment plan for each patient. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We have payment plans to suit different budgets. We also accept assignment from most insurance plans, and file the necessary papers to the insurance company. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable.
In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:
- If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount. (If you have insurance, we will offer a discount for payment of your portion of the fee that will not be covered by insurance.)
- To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payment over a period of months.
- For your convenience, we accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, and Amex.
- In cases of serious delinquency, treatment may be discontinued, although we will make every effort to accommodate patients with temporary difficulties.
If you have orthodontic insurance, we will be happy to assist you in claiming your benefits. There are many different arrangements between insurance companies and their subscribers and each contract provides a unique benefit. We are eager to help you determine the coverage that you have available.
For your convenience, we will accept assignment of benefits and determine your payment schedule based on this assignment. Payments received from your insurance company will be credited to your account. However, if for any reason your insurance coverage is not as predicted, you are ultimately responsible for payment of the entire orthodontic fee before treatment is completed.
Please understand that your orthodontic coverage involves a contract between you and your insurance company or union. Therefore, our primary financial relationship is with our patients or their families and not with the insurance company. Orthodontic insurance differs from regular dental insurance in that each insured individual usually has a lifetime maximum benefit for orthodontic services. This benefit is paid in installments as a percentage of the orthodontic fee until the benefit maximum has been reached. Charges for lost or broken appliances (including retainers) are usually not covered.
Capital One Health Care Finance is a flexible payment plan that fits easily into your budget. It allows patients to start orthodontic treatments with no money down and low monthly payments. This is especially helpful for families with 2 or more children needing orthodontic treatment simultaneously. The application process is quick and confidential. You can even get advanced approval prior to your visit with us by visiting their website at www.capitalonehealthcarefinance.com.
